The breed standard is a pattern that describes the ideal characteristics: temperament and appearance. And in fact, very few dogs fully meet all the guidelines set out in the breed standard. Also the Australian Labradoodle is no exception here.
The Genuine Australian Labradoodle is not registered by the Kennel Club, but is registered by the ALFA EUROPE organization. This organization guards the purity of the breed by setting very strict ethical codes for breeders associated in it. ALFA EUROPE completes all the necessary formalities so that in the near future, in order to complete the registration procedures, all documentation will be transferred to the Kennel Club.
Of course, a phenotype is not only a dog with a specific body structure or coat. Its vitality, hypoallergenic potential and character are more important than its appearance.
In England and the United States (as we can see in the FCI), there are different breed patterns.
ALFA-EUROPE endorses the breed standard set by one of the founders of the breed: Beverly Manners.
The described breed standard is currently being translated into English, from which it will be translated into Polish. Its full version is published here:
