Just like the ancestors of the Scottish Collie are Irish Setters and Russian Harts, and the German Shepherd - Shepherd Dogs.

Twenty years ago, two research centers in Australia, Victoria, crossed two separate breeds - the Labrador and the Poodle. This is how the crossword was born - Labradoodle. For over twenty years, these centers continued their work on the breed we recognize today as the Australian Labradoodle. After a lot of research, other breeds were very carefully selected for the program and "filtered" the already well-established line. Among these breeds were: American and English Cocker Spaniel (in order to reduce the size of the dog, which was quite substantial), then Irish Water Spaniel (a close cousin of the poodle) and finally Soft Coated Wheaten from Irish lines. Beverley Manners of Rutland Manor - now the only research center in operation - believes that no further infusions are needed and the breed has a firm and solid foundation for further breeding. For five years, Rutland Manor has not used any other bloods, crossing only Australian Labradoodles.

Continuing, below I present the "family tree" of the Beagle breed (I chose the breed completely by accident) - how similar to the "family trees" of all breeds consciously shaped by man. Thus, I wanted to present a delicate outline of what can make up a BREED today accepted by the FCI, and once an ordinary MIXED.

Or maybe in order to proudly use the term "breed" the dog must appear in the FCI registers?

In that case, if I meet a lady with a Pit Bull on a walk, should I say: "ABOUT! what a cute mix of bulldog and terriers, can i pet it? After all, the Pit Bull is not a breed officially accepted by the Kennel Club, but should I therefore call it a crossbreed?

Or maybe mongrel? But first, let's answer the question - is the Australian Labradoodle "a descendant of dogs of undetermined origin"? There are 3 Australian Labradoodles from Rutland Manor in Hairy Passion and I am able to go back four generations - four documented generations i.e. 30 selectively selected Australian Labradoodle dogs. So with the term mongrel - I personally do not agree.

It is very possible that soon the Australian Labradoodle will be a breed recognized by Kennel Clubs in the world - however, everything must have its beginning - just like Beagles, German Shepherds, Collies, Labradors and many other breeds.

The purpose of this section is to make the reader aware that everything has a beginning - a historical outline. However, the assessment - crossbreed, mongrel or maybe a new developing breed? - I leave to you.

ASD Australian Labradoodle is currently not a breed registered by the FCI in the world.

The purity of the breed is supervised by the ALFA EUROPE organization, which requires registered breeders to comply with very strict ethical codes, including DNA tests to confirm kinship. It is an organization that operates more dynamically and more strictly than Kennel Clubs in the world. Due to the fact that this organization focuses on only one breed - it is able to control the activities of breeders associated in it.
All this to provide new buyers with the highest standards. The new owners do not want the hassle of chronic diseases and the associated expenses. They also don't want allergy problems - if that was the main reason for buying an Australian Labradoodle.
This organization, as the only one in Europe, also does not allow dogs other than Multigenerational Australian Labradoodles to be mated. This is very important because organizations sometimes allow mating with other breeds - poodles, spaniels ... I doubt that future owners would unknowingly want to be part of the experiment and wonder if their dog will be healthy in the future, will not moult and sensitize.
The organization brings together the elite - the best breeders of ASD Australian Labradoodles, who declare their commitment to protecting the breed by signing the code of ethics and complying with the rules and regulations set out by this organization.

The ASD (Australian Service Dog) logo registered by Rutland Manor is assigned to the elite breeders of the ASD Australian Labradoodle. Buyers should look for such a logo along with the ALFA EUROPE logo on the website of the breeder from whom they plan to buy a puppy.

ASD logo

Based on:

http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pies_nierasowy

Ludek J.
